Based on the ventilation and air conditioning system of Nanjing Metro South Extension, develops the heat and moisture transfer model for the ventilation and air conditioning system in underground railway stations and tunnels, and then performs the energy consumption simulation by STESS. Puts forward the schemes of operation and maintenance from the perspectives of high energy efficiency in operation and low maintenance. The simulation result shows that all of the three modified schemes can meet the demand of the ventilation and air conditioning system in underground railway stations and tunnels, which save 10% of the total electricity of the original project throughout the year period. Aiming at the malfunction in ventilation mode of fewer outdoor air rate in summer, presents the improved scheme. The field test shows that the outdoor air ratio is 10%~20% with the improved scheme, which satisfies the demand of minimum outdoor air ventilation mode. These three kinds of schemes can be applied alternatively for better maintenance of the ventilation and air conditioning equipments. It also provides some references for other lines of Nanjing Metro.
